In round 5 Christchurch played hosts to Ellingham & Ringwood 3s on what can only be described as a damp day, or in the words of the referee "I wasn't aware we were playing underwater rugby.....".
Christchurch got off to a flying start with two converted tries, alas one of the Ellingham & Ringwood lads looked to sustain a significant injury and we all wish him a speedy recovery. Ellingham & Ringwood then came into their own scoring 4 tries with one converted before Christchurch had a man yellow carded but scored a converted try to take the score at half time to 21 - 22 to the visitors.
The second half was keenly contested with Ellingham & Ringwood scoring the first try of the half, their 5th, before some indiscipline saw them loose a couple to yellow cards late on which saw Christchurch take full advantage and fought back with two tries, one converted of their own to finish the victors 33 - 27.
It was another step in the rebuilding phase for Christchurch with their first win of the season, fielding 3 debutants for the club Marc, Scott and Dom. No rest for the lads as we go again welcoming Fawley 2s to Grange Road on the 29th November 2025.

Player of the Match:
No player of the match this week we celebrated the debuts for Marc, Dom and Scott, although they struggled to understand that when we give them 8 seconds to drink a pint they don't start on 10!!
