In round 7 Christchurch played hosts to Tottonians 3s on a weekend when many games fell foul of the weather leading upto the weekend.
Christchurch held their Vice Presidents lunch which was very well attended by both the VP's, old and new, and our shirt sponsors wefixanycar and ground sponsor ProScapes. Ben Ironmonger from Scott Bailey LLP was due to attend, but he chose to put his boots on and played a solid 80 minues in the centres. We also had the pleaseure of inviting along Brett Bader from Wooden Spoon where as part of the lunch we split the proceeds from the raffle along with the handing over of a collection jar that has been sat on the bar in the East Christchurch Sports & Social Club (ECSSC) and in total we raised £311.68. A new empty collection jar is now back on the bar, so any spare change, please drop that in, all monies go to local causes.
Moving onto the game itself then Tottonians started the better and jumped out to a 10 - 0 lead before Christchurch fought back with a converted try from Matty Mycroft, Tottonians stretched their lead with 2 more converted tries to take the half time lead 24 - 7.
The second half started pretty much the same as the first with Tottonians scoring and converting another 2 tries to take their lead out to 34 - 7 before Christchurch replied with a try of the own from Rob Tuck before the final score of the match went to Tottonians to leave the final score at 12 - 39 in favour of the visitors.
Although not the result we had hoped for after the previous wins the guys did not give up, heads didn't drop. So in a packed December schedule we play hosts to league leaders New Milton 2s on the 13th December 2025, KO 14:00.
